I'm definitely in the shallow end of the pool - I've got

Limitless with Bradley Cooper & DeNiro - supposed to be fun

Trollhunter - Norwegian "found footage" film a la Blair Witch

Also a friend loaned us all three of the Swedish "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" movies, and I'm a bit eager to watch them, but it seems like a big commitment.

There's also a bunch of stuff currently playing, though if I were to make it to a theater this weekend I would probably see "Attack The Block."

This is if I can even pull my head out of the Europe 72 box ...

I fear this Europe '72 thing having a bad effect on family life, among the "I need more shows" crowd.

au contraire! Last night we sat around the big box and i pulled out the shows and the family tried to guess where the show was based on the cover. The Eurobox is bringing my family together, not tearing it apart. I guess that will be the case until I start playing the music night and day....

Sounds just like a scene from a Norman Rockwell painting.

My family would humor me and play along. But underneath it all they would be there to find out what I spent the money on instead of buying the flatscreen tv instead of going to the well of 6 shoeboxes of cd's I'd burned without listening to any of them.

After watching the whole trilogy of Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
) I was left a bit wanting for more depth and polish. The first movie is the best. However, it has one of the most brutal and graphic rape scenes I have ever seen in a movie. It's in context and isn't gratuitous, but it's the very essence of nightmares. I do not rec these films. And what is it w/ Scandinavian films? Yikes. (But I keep on watching them so there must be something....)
